Dr Mark Jinks

Mark is a GP and Sports Doctor working across the NHS and private sector.

As well as covering events with Meliora & Return2Play, Mark works as a team Doctor for Henley Rugby club, provides pitch side care and athlete screening services to GB hockey, screening to Harlequins Rugby Club and covers high profile sporting events including the London Marathon. He is an Independent Match Day Doctor with Premiership Rugby.

Mark completed his medical degree at the University of Birmingham. Mark initially trained in Orthopaedic Surgery in Nottingham prior to moving to the South East to train a GP and has used this foundation to move into Sports Medicine and pursue his entrepreneurial interests. Mark now works across a number of roles in the NHS and private sector as a GP and Sports Doctor. Mark is completing an MSc in Sports and Exercise medicine at UCL and conducting a research paper on reducing concussion risk in elite rugby players.

Outside of work Mark is a keen sportsman, during his time at the University of Birmingham Mark was a Sports Scholar in rowing, achieving success at National and International events. Mark is now based in Henley on Thames, where he is an active member of Upper Thames rowing club and is also training for Triathlon.
