David is GP with a special interest in Sports and Exercise Medicine and has an extended role in Eating Disorders.
He works in professional football, starting as an assistant club doctor and crowd doctor at Gillingham FC in 2019, and is currently the club doctor at Southend United FC. He has an MSc in Sports and Exercise Medicine from the University of Bath, achieved Membership of the Faculty of Sports and Exercise Medicine (UK) in 2024 and has a Diploma in Immediate Medical Care from the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh.
As well as working for the NHS, he provides medical care in a secure environment and is a tutor on an MSc Sports and Exercise Medicine programme.
David studied medicine at the University of Leicester. Prior to studying medicine he was a paramedic for nine years.
