Position Type: Contractor (a limited number of employed roles may also be available)
Salary: Per appointment rate
Desired start date: September 2025
About Us:
We are the UK’s leading provider of sports medicine services in the education sector. We deliver high-quality, athlete-focused care to young people, ensuring injury management and rehabilitation are handled with clinical excellence and compassion.
We are seeking a highly motivated doctor with experience in the management of head injuries and concussion to join our head injury & concussion team. In 2024/25 over 15,000 appointments will be undertaken and we are anticipating significant growth into 2025/26. The service has established internal referral pathways with daily senior doctor support, a Complex Case Clinic and Specialist Concussion Rehabilitation team.
Role overview
Doctors working in our Head Injury & Concussion Care service perform an essential role in guiding injured players through return to sport guidance from the point of injury to full return to play. They provide early review of injured patients, providing advice and education to optimise recovery, advise on the safe gradual return to sport and give final clearance to return to full sport. All players are managed in line with National Governing Body guidance.
The successful applicant will be provided with training to safely manage patients and will have access to advice from senior clinicians via an established MDT referral pathway. There will be scope for further training and progression with experience.
We are especially keen to hear from doctors who are able to provide work over the weekends, and/or on an ad hoc basis.
