Role: School Physiotherapist

Salary: £11,500 – £15,400 per year (£30-£40 per hour) depending on experience

Working Hours: 11 hours per week, term time only.  Potential to increase to 20 hours per week (split across 2 neighbouring sites)

Location: Harrow School, London

What is the job?

We are looking for an experienced chartered physiotherapist to join our rapidly growing team and provide clinical care at one of the UK’s leading independent schools, Harrow School, an all-boys boarding school in Harrow, London.

At Harrow School,  Meliora Medical Group provide gold standard of medical care to all students and staff. We work collaboratively and with a person-centred approach alongside the pastoral and sports teams to ensure all pupils are on the correct care pathway, working towards a full recovery and return to sport in a safe and timely manner.

The successful applicant will be a key part of our clinical team.  Working closely with our Head of Physiotherapy and our Sports Doctors they will aid the medical, sports and pastoral teams in providing timely and accurate diagnosis, treatment, management plan and anticipated return to play timeframe for pupils. They will use an evidence-based approach in the rehabilitation of all musculoskeletal injuries and work closely with Harrow School’s own medical and strength & conditioning teams as well as affiliated professional academies to ensure continuity of care across the year.

Initially, the role is 11 hours per week but there is potential to increase to 20 hours a week (split across 2 neighbouring sites) during term time only (circa 35 weeks per year).

 

Who are we looking for?

Our ideal candidate will have:

–          Degree in Physiotherapy

–          Registration with appropriate governing body (CSP/HCPC)

–          Previous experience working with youth athletes and paediatric MSK injuries

–          Previous experience treating Rugby, Football, Cricket and multisport athletes.

–          Personal Liability/Indemnity insurance

–          Pitch-side first aid qualification

–          Pitch-side experience

–          Taping/Strapping experience
