Job Title: School Doctor
Location: Whitgift School, London

Salary: £10,000 per session per annum

Overview
We are seeking a motivated and experienced GP with a strong interest in child and adolescent health to join the established medical team at Whitgift School, a leading independent boys’ school in South London. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a high-quality in-house medical service and develop expertise in School Medicine.

Role Summary

• Provide general and specialist care to approximately 100 boarding pupils.
• Work 2 sessions per week during term time (~34 weeks/year).
• Deliver NHS GP services and enhanced school-based care in line with Meliora Medical Group standards.
• Collaborate with pastoral, safeguarding, and academic teams to support pupil health and well-being.
• Participate in health promotion, clinical governance, and service development.
• Engage in additional non-clinical duties, including training and team meetings, as agreed.
• You will report clinically to the Head of School Medicine and receive operational support from Meliora Medical Group.

Essential Requirements

• MBBS/MBChB (or equivalent)
• MRCGP

Desirable Attributes

• PHICIS/Sports medicine experience.
• Further Paediatric qualifications. For example, MSc in child and adolescent mental health.
• Mental health.
• Experience in Schools.
• Experience with learning skills and neurodivergence.
• Lifestyle Medicine – IBLM/BSLM, or BSLM Core Accreditation.
• Medical Education.
• FRCGP
